We are Mandy & Dave Pollard of Birds Of A Feather Flying Displays and we run the Falconry Centre at Willows Farm Village with a little help from our volunteers Pete, Nicky and Colin.

We have been running Birds Of A Feather for 24 years, originally as a mobile display demonstrating our birds at Fetes, Fairs and County Shows all over the UK.  In 1999 we moved to the Falconry Centre and duly gave up mobile displays (we are now both gettting a bit old to run all over the countryside!!)

The Falconry Centre 2 years ago started to undergo a revamp.  The aim was to remove all the old avairies and weatherings and to extend the centre.  This was completed in March 2007.

During the rebuild Pete came up with an idea to incorporate a special little area for our little visitors - so we called it the Under 5's area - although any age is welcome.

In this area we have a very special little chap who is called Bracken and he's a Barn Owl who has now been retired from the flying demonstrations as he is the grand old age of 18.  You can also meet Eric and Erica our Ferrets, Otis the Indian Eagle Owl, Kullih the Kestrel and of course not forgetting Poppy the African Grey Parrot, Prickles the African Pygmy Hedgehog and Herman the Tortoise, who pop out from time to time in good weather to say hello.

The new centre now incorporates a large weathering lawn and a small arena/handling area, combined with the new aviaries and weatherings we like to think that this is a nicer area not only for our visitors but for our birds as well.

During the last 2 years of rebuilding and extending the Centre a lot of hard work and time has gone into it and this would not have been possible if it was not for our helpers Pete, Colin and Nicky - we would both like to say a big THANK YOU to you all.
